I visited berkeley last summer and really want to go there. I dont have an idea of what i want to do in the future as of now (in a way, i think im suitable for almost every field). I have a 2140 SAT and 3.7 unweighted GPA, and I'm out-of-state. I was just wondering what are some of the easier majors to get into, because getting in is the only thing that im concerned about right now.

L&S is the easiest college to get into. They don't admit by major, they just admit everyone as undeclared. What ever major your mark is just used for statistical purposes.

Actually, I suspect that the CNR may actually be easier than L&S. Does anybody have the stats? I know somebody had posted them before.

L&S, unless you have a lot of forestry activities for your EC's- then you can apply for Range Management, which cannot possibly have as much competition. Seriously, though, they admit the best applicants first within each school. The majors don't really matter, esp. for L&S. Your stats are in the ball park for admitted students.

well, i went to gov school for agricultural sciences, do u think that would help my chances for CNR?

sakky, I think I know the statistics you're referring to. If memory serves, CNR and CoC both have higher admit rates than L&S.

I'm not just talking about admit rates, although that is obviously part of it. I also seem to remember that CNR students had lower SAT scores and GPA's than did L&S students.

Again, I wish somebody would repost those statistics.

sakky, are these the statistics you're referring to?

Apparently, L&S has an admit rate for freshman of around ~21.5% and CNR has an admit rate of around ~28%
