I was wondering if the fact that I'm legacy and applying for EAS will help me RD. I have lots of ECs relating to my major including a summer in China and take gotten straight As in my chinese class for all 4 years. Top 10% in my class not ranked, 3,9 weighted gpa, 1430 SAT 740/740/780 SAT 2s. Had really bad semester, grades were awful by my guidance counselor told them how I had mono the entire semester. Wondering what you all think of the possibilities. Great Recs b/c my teachers showed them to me, and I got a rec from the woman who teaches me Japanese outside of school.

How interesting...according to other posts under your screenname "Spookymulder" it would seem you can say bing qi ling not only in Mandarin, but in Cantonese, Taiwanese, and Fujian: and since you've said you're "nearly fluent [in] Sichuanese and Yunnanese" as well, it would appear that bing qi ling would be more than a piece of cake for you. For a "White, Jewish" guy from New Jersey, you are to be congratulated since you are apparently able to speak more Chinese dialects than many highly educated native Chinese. Very impressive.
