i know that east/south quad is used for honors/RC housing.. but is it true that stendents who arent part of such progs cant get housing there ? coz out of all the residence halls.. i found these to be superior by far.. also... is north campus really that bad ??
admitted students - what are your housing priorities and why ??

I don't know about squad, but if you aren't in the RC, WISE, or MRC, you cannot be housed in East Quad.

Squad is for athletes and hon students and as entering freshman, you won't (or i think) get placed in Squad unless you meet those criteria....after your fresh year though you can apply for a spot for ur next 3 yrs without being in 1 of those 2 things.

umar thats not true...only floors 3 and 4 of SQ are for Honors Students. Atheltes are dispersed through WQ and SQ therefore it is possible for frosh to be in SQ.

thats why i said "I think"...sorry dude geez lol...i just havent heard of or know anyone thats a fresh who is in squad

uhh.. btw.. when are the housing decisions mailed back ?? i submitted my app about 2 days ago and wondering when i will obtain an answer since its not been written clearly on the website..

isnt it in the middle of the summer or something?

some time in like june or july they tell you what kind of room you got, but you dont get info on the exact room or your roommates until like august 1st.

oh thats cool.. but if i dont like what they give me.. do i have any other options? can i like change my housing after one term or summin.. or am i gonna be stuck wid it for the 4 years ?? ( assuming what they give me sucks)

there are options for moving once you get here. There is a room swap process w/ a campus-wide waitlist...or if you find a friend you can swap rooms that way. I wouldn't recommend it though, moving is a huge pain in the butt.
