Hello, I am an applying undergrad voice student waiting to hear back from Eastman....I attended their summer session, and had lessons with a member on their faculty. It is April 13th, and I have still not heard any news back...hopefully, they are not waiting this long to send a rejection? Eastman says they will inform of admissions decisions between March 15/April 15, but so far, everyone I know of has heard. Should I call? Has anyone had an experience with Eastman getting back to them after the deadline?

Thank you very much!

I guess you’ll hear in the next two days…I would call. Eastman admissions has always been friendly and helpful when we contacted them. How frustrating for you. If you find out you’re wait-listed, don’t despair. We talked to someone who was admitted off the WL last year at the end of May. Good luck to you!

I called, and, evidently, they had my e-mail messed up…I got it sorted out and hopefully, the result will be good. Oy. This year is going to kill me.

Same thing happened with my prescreening. They NEVER contacted me in any way to reject me. They just never got back to me, and finally I had to call, and they were like, “Oh yeah, you were rejected. Sorry, something got mixed up and we never sent the email.”

Well, I hope I end up waiting for good news…Thing is, this is the SECOND time they’ve messed up my e-mail- the first was for the prescreening. Oy vey.

Eastman has accepted in this time frame before (we have experience with that)
An acceptance (from another school) just arrived today in our mail.
We live far from both schools in question - mail can be slow.
Good luck!
