I was wondering what are some easy GE's for science majors. I'm a bio major, and it seems that most of the GEs on the "easy GE list" are science-related, so I would just be doubling up on stuff I already have. I heard arts and architecture is an easy class, but then I have a friend in it this quarter, and he said that it got harder.

Art of listening.

Classics 51a with Popadopulous, sp?, is easy if you do ALL the readings. I got a 98% in the class before the final and then BOMBED the final LOL.

Music 15 isn't offered this fall, I think, at least when i checked

AA10 depends on the prof. Take it with Prof. Winter

If you need something for historical analysis, I'd recommend History 1A w/ Phillips... 2 papers and 3 non-cumulative exams, and he gives you a list of like 25 IDs (there will be 8 on the exam, you pick 5) and four possible essay topics (there will be 2 on the exam, you pick one) BEFORE the test, so there's really no excuse not to do well because you can basically plan out what you want to say in your essay in advance (and all his exams are only one hour long, which is nice). You do have to go to lecture, but on the upside you NEVER have to read the textbook (I literally think I opened it once- I got an A in the class just by studying my notes). Or if you really hate writing papers, McClendon for History 1B only makes you write one (but it's worth a larger percentage of your grade and she's not nearly as good of a lecturer as Phillips).

I've also heard History 9E (Southeast Asian Crossroads) w/ Woods is easy, though I personally haven't taken that class

Is History of Southeast Asian Studies easier than crossroads? It is also taught by Woods...

Is History 13C easy?? Only the History 13A-B-C series satisfy the american history requirement AND the GE.

Hist 13C, at least when I took it, was ridiculously easy. 1 midterm and final and no papers... lots of reading for discussion though (but that was just 10% of your grade)

Hist 1A during summer session C w/ Cleve...easiest class ever. Just a midterm + final; he gives you about 10 essay questions beforehand so you can prepare your answers, on the actual test you'll have 6-8 questions from which you choose 2 (for midterm) or 3 (for final) to answer.
