Is it easy to get internships at UCR and more importantly a decent job afterwards. Or would I be better off going to a private school like USF.

The job and internships that you have available will be more dependent on your grades, courses you take, ability to interview, and your ability to write a resume than on your school name. The career center has a lot of resources available to help you with this though, such as interview practices, resume workshops, an online database that you can search available jobs and internships, and counselors that are always willing to help. Basically, if you're willing to put in the work then a job or internship at almost anywhere is in within your reach.

One more thing, I had an internship at the Department of the Treasury that I received school credit for. I've also talked to other students who had summer paid internships in N.Y. even though I can't remember what they did (investment banking maybe?).
