ECON 105 vs LEGALST 145 for someone with little background in microeconomics

I’m an undeclared 2nd year Econ major trying to find a very easy upper div that doesn’t require too much of a background in microeconomics. I took AP Econ in high school and recently brushed up a little with Khan Academy but I haven’t taken Econ 1 or 100A/B yet. Please help me decide whether ECON 105 or LEGALST 145 (Law and Economics [class outside econ dept]) is better for someone with little background in microeconomics or if there are better upper divs I can take right now.

I will take Econ 1 next semester and 100A/B this summer but I need an easy upper div for this semester (Fall 2015) and next semester (Spring 2015). Preferably these 2 upper-div electives are not outside the Econ dept.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Did you get at least a 4 on both AP economics exams?

If you do need to take Economics 1, why not take it this semester so that you can fulfill prerequisites to other economics courses?

Economics courses with no economics prerequisites include C103, 105, C110.

I’m taking Econ 105 this semester (with J. Lough).

It’s all about reading and understanding the major works of the great economists from Smith to Keynes. There is no need at all to take Econ 1 first, but a background in macroecon would increase your appreciation of the subject.
