my view on it is this: if you ultimatley want to end up in business, and want your MBA, you will learn the business aspects during your MBA program, and you should come into your mba program well preapred with a strong mathemtaical and economical foundation..... this way you know a lot of the theories behind the business aspects that are being taught to you. The mathematics part is oviously more applicable to what you want to do with your mba, i for example want something interrelated to finance, or financial engineering, etc, so i know a strong math background will benefit me.

Now doing an undergrad degree in Business, and then going to an MBA program seems to be a bit redundant and narrowly focused. I could be totally wrong on this, but that is just my view of it.

I personally want a broader education, and i feel having an undergrad in econ/math, will give me a good understanding of theory, and then a good MBA program will give me all the business knowledge i need.
