Econ1/2?Stat20/21?Huh?

Am confused....

What's the difference between econ1 and econ2? And stats 20 and stats 21? I'm a prospective Econ major...which should i take? I have no academic exemptions for econ/math (like AP and all) cos i am international and my pre-u isnt accepted in the US (long story, wont go into tat.. ).

Help!

Oh and does anyone know when us int'ls who didnt go for CalSo get out advisor code and can start on Phase one? Im helplessly watching the classes fill up...LOL.

Not sure what the difference is between Econ 1 and 2 (I've taken 1 but not 2); perhaps 2 offers more lecturing and talking and less problem sets and applications.

Stat 20 is your basic college stat course (Stat 2 is the easier, wussier :-P version). Stat 21 is focused for business majors, and I think Stat 22 is focused for engineering majors. Unless you're trying for Haas, I see no real reason to subject yourself to Stat 21 and its Haas-crazed Red Bull junkies when Stat 20 teaches you plenty.

stats 2 is for psych majors

oh thanks a bunch...my math kinda sucks so yeah i'll prolly stick to stat20 :)

econ 1 or 2 anyone?

thanks to pookdog and mzlover btw..

Econ 1 is the usual intro econ class. Econ 2 is for those who scored high on AP Econ but still want to prepare before taking upper div econ classes. Econ 2 has less seats. Both are equally good for an econ major.
