It says on the site that they notify acceptance in mid-December. Does that mean that if you apply in July, you still have to wait THAT long to know if you're in or not?

Also, man, I'm so scared. I just finished the 1st section of the application and have 3 more to go and I'm so scared that I won't get in.

Last year the ED admissions decisions were out December 2, 2005. The year before, they were posted on December 10th 2004. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thank you very much. It did help :)

Dandoor, another good reason to get your application in early is that you will have an early 'priority date' for dorm choices. If I remember correctly, the day UF received my son's application is the day they allowed him to fill out the online housing application.

An early priority date is very important, so you'll get the best choice of a dorm. (Some late applicants don't get into any dorm, because they fill up.) My son's priority date (Early Decision) was in late September I think, and he got his first choices. Jennings for summer B semester, and Broward for fall semester. Good luck to you.

Will UF still look at the October SAT regardless of how early you apply for ED?

Last year, they told us that they didn't look at any ED applications until they were all in, and not until all the October SAT scores were in. You might want to call the Admissions office and ask them. Good luck to you,
