my GC doesn't know what deferral, likely letters, or even early admissions mean. she didn't even know how to fill the forms out. :(

Oh, yeah, my gc didn't know what likely letters were, either. That's probably because no one in our school gets them.

hahahahaha oh silmon =)

My GC (we dont have one actually) didn't know what/where Princeton is. She didn't know what GPA is, etc. etc.

I filled my own school report :D

wow mercurysquad! do other people have to do their apps themselves too?

but going back to princetonwannabe, i got deferred too. but no likelies from anywhere. :(

lol okay that was hyperbole, but i really did have to sit with her and explain every question on the form before she could refer to her records and fill the appropriate value.

i'm the only one from my school applying to US universities, so she had to complete only my school report.

I was deferred ED from Princeton too.
I got accepted at GA Tech, UGA (I am from GA, everyone here applies there) and MIT.
I am still waiting on: Emory, UChicago, Tufts, Penn, Yale, and finally, my first choice still, Princeton.

No likely letters to speak of. But honestly, the pressure is off. I believe I can live with MIT if I have to...

Dude! Give me your seat @ MIT and I shall be your slave forever :p :p

Is a likely basically a guaranteed acceptance? Can someone get a likely, but then find they've been waitlisteding? Has anything like that happened before?

i think a likely is a guaranteed admission, just letting u know earlier that they love u =P

seems like Princeton ED was really tough this year.. ppl got into MIT and likelies from Yale but still got deferred by Princeton. wow. i'm appalled.

I was deferred ED, too.

Likelied @ Dartmouth, UVa; accepted to UMich Honors w/merit scholarship.

Waiting on Princeton, Cornell, and Vandy, but Princeton's the only decision that could really affect my college choice.

Mercurysquad, I'm holding out for you! I'm sure a positive decision will come your way!
