ED doubts and fears

One positive outcome of my daughter's doubts: she's now paying serious attention to the course catalogs and course schedules of the schools on her list. She'd glanced at them before, of course, but I don't think she really THOUGHT about them. I am relieved to see her doing this and she's had some interesting observations about various programs and schools. It is fascinating to see her realize that yeah, all of the schools on her list have history departments and art departments and English departments, but their approaches are all different and offer varying opportunities. I think before this she has been more focused on finding the right social fit --- now that she's identified which schools have that, she's finally realizing that hey, college is going to be about more than just finding a cool bunch of people to hang out with for four years. :) I'm just glad that all of the schools on her list have academics I can live with, whatever she decides. I've also looked again at how her stats fit in with her top 4 choices - they're all within match range for her, and all have EA or rolling admissions, so she should be OK if she doesn't do ED.
