need a hand here!
I am gonna apply university of Wisconsin-Madison. According to the website, it list the first fall notification instead of ED. Is there any difference?

What are you asking?

Schools that have Rolling Admissions give acceptances before ED acceptances. Does UW have Rolling Admissions?

I dont quite understands this. why you relate to the rolling decision?

First fall notification =/= ED

First fall notification is not binding, ED is.

First fall notification gives decisions at the end of Jan, ED is usually mid Dec.

Early Decision is when you apply to a college and if accepted (usually notified in December) you agree to attend and withdraw all other applications. Early Action is where a school provides an early decision, often in December, but you are not required to attend if admitted and can wait to here from other colleges before deciding.

UWisconsin actually has neither of those. It has something that is somewhat like early action that it calls First Fall Notification. Those who apply by Nov 1 get a decision at the end of Jan. Those who apply after Nov 1 get a decision at the end of March.
