So I was accepted to Duke ED, and I was just wondering how much my mid year report matters. My grades are fine, I have A’s and B’s, but as much as colleges look at trends, it would appear that I am trending down because, I’m not really giving my classes much effort anymore because I’m not interested in them. How much does mid year report matter to those already accepted
As and Bs are fine. Chill out.
I’m chilling. I’m honestly just wondering why mid year reports matter for early decision applicants.
In case you get all Ds, Fs, and/or withdrawals.
The regional admissions officer will probably call you and ask what’s going on.
In your case, the slight downward trend is fine. You’re good.
^ Yes. They want to make sure you don’t take your foot all the way off the gas. Some schools like the UCs only care about the end of year grades.
A’s and B’s are just fine. The just want to be sure your grades haven’t totally tanked. Try to stay away from C’s and definitely avoid D’s and F’s.
