ED school ask for senior first quarter grades but school don’t provide them

School only provides a final grade for each semester. But school counselor said that they do not have a mid term or first quarter grade for each semester. Grades can be tracked continuously by students throughout the year.

ED school wants to have the first quarter grade, what should I do?

DS attended a school that was similar in that there was ultimately only a single grade for the year.

But… because a student was working toward that grade all year long, at any point, they could provide the grade you’d have if the class ended today. That’s what you need to have sent, whether it’s the mid-year grades for RD or end of “term” for ED.

They should be able to pull a progress report at least.

Or the ED college should accept student self reported if the school does not.

Thanks for the reply! I will contact AO as well!

Talk to your guidance counselor… I’m sure this isn’t the first time this situation has come up.

What did you find out? We are coming up against the same problem at my daughter’s public HS. What are the workarounds, if any?

I emailed the AO of the school directly. And the AO said that it’s ok and if they really need one, they will contact the school counselor and request it (maybe running a current grade on that day).

My D’s HS was like that too but her GC was able to send mid term grades to the schools that wanted to see them. She had a very rigorous schedule senior year with great grades so we pushed to have them sent.
