how many of you are applying early decision?

Me =)
Extremely nervous.. Good luck to everyone!

I am! About to send my application in tonight!

I'm so nervous...

Does anyone know when ED letters are sent out? They say mid-December, but that's pretty vague.

The wait is going to kill me!

yea im sending mine in within the next couple of days
my act score sucks...my gpa is alright...everything else is excellent
but im really really nervous
well i know for my school its dec. 15

Hey Ilove OSU...I just checked out some of your posts and it seems like you're transfering out of Wellesley. What made you do so? Wellesley seems like such a wonderful place to study at for four years. I hope you don't mind me asking. Thanks!

that was first year...it's two years later and i'm still at wellesley. it's hard to get used to at first.

Happy Halloween by the way!!!! But what made you stay at wellesley? What are the pros and cons of attending Wellesley? Thank you for taking time in reflecting on my questions.

A LOT of girls consider transferring during their firstyear. I'd say that at least half of my friends talked about it at one point or another. Firstyear at Wellesley can be very difficult and it's definitely a hard adjustment for some. I think that you have moments where you really doubt your reasoning for not attending a more "normal" college and wonder if you're missing out on the "college" experience. Wellesley can also feel very isolating until you find a core group of friends.

i agree with what millionlittlepieces said. you have to make sure that wellesley is really what you want because it's not the "typical" college experience, you have to work a little harder to have fun and also make it a priority

Wow...thank you guys. That's really a truthful statement both of you said right there. Thanks for being so frank about it. I imagine it must be kind of odd without your guy friends around but, I see Wellesley as a great fit for a specific type of person. Thanks for your honesty!

Oh yeah, and good luck both of you!

How are you all doing with the wait?

I can't wait until I know! I'm trying to work on my other applications, but it's hard for me to really focus on them.

Only about four weeks, though!

The wait is absolutely killing me!

I must write in a journal for my Italian class, and every single day I find myself writing about the same thing — Wellesley!

I even drew up a makeshift calendar counting down to, at least, the second week of December.

All my other applications are about 70% done (just the "Why ____ " essays left, pretty much.). I feel like I'm being unfaithful to Wellesley just by thinking about other colleges..especially the all-women one's!

I know the feeling! I feel like all my reasons for liking other schools are because they have something that's like Wellesley.

It's sort of lame, but my mom bought me one of those Christmas advent calendars, and once I'm 25 days away from December 15th (which is when I think we'll find out...I wish they'd tell us a for-sure date!) I'm going to start using it to count down.

I think I'm driving my family and friends crazy with my impatience and anxiety!

I'm applying tooo. Please girls, we have to stay in contact., For now, i'm the only applicant from France, so i'm feeling lonely waiting impatiently by myself

We have to support each other c'moin! were going to get in! (yeah right) we are future wellesley girls! (as if..)

If I don't get in, I'm going to rot in an unknown parisian college (french college sucks, for reasons, ask me privately)

Anyway 3 more weeks.
AAAAHH

Hi, BrianJones! Nice to "meet" another ED applicant. Not too many on CC!

We're almost at the half-way point between the deadline to send in applications and when we find out! Not that I'm counting or anything...

And happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans! (Brian, if you go to school in the US, you'll get to celebrate a lot more holidays!)

Hello BrianJones =) It's definitely nice to become acquainted with a fellow ED applicant!

Some of my friends are from France and NONE of them want to go to university there, so I completely understand you! Lol

Ah, good luck to us all; the wait is nearly over...

in response to those who were discussing the difficulty of being a first year at wellesley...SOPHOMORE SLUMP.
from the majority of people who do adjust well in their first year (myself being one of those), i've found that their sophomore year SUCKS.
It just gets depressing here..I wish Thanksgiving break was a bit longer...

and then junior slump and senior slump....
