Hi guys! i also applied to Tufts ED after going to the voices program and i am also interesting in IR but im also interested in peace and justice studies as well as chemistry! i check literally every day haha. does anyone know what mid-december exactly is? is it usually just the 15th?

Raise your hand if you were harassed with college questions during Thanksgiving dinner…

Hey guys for the financial aid deadline (Dec. 1st) it requires us to send a copy of our parent’s tax forms/returns to Tufts but it doesn’t give us an avenue to do so through. Does anyone know how I should send the forms to Tufts? Should I copy and mail them, fax, some online application? Thanks to anyone for a response.

I googled “how to send tax forms to Tufts”. The first result was a page in Tufts Admissions. At the top it shows the deadline for tax forms to aAdmissions for ED I is December 1st. This must be the right place. At the bottom it gives an address for all financial aid application materials. I would fedex that stuff to that address. Spend the money to get it there on Monday the 1st. I doubt there would be a problem if it got there a day late, but no reason to test that.

hi everyone!! just like all of you guys, i applied ED1 to Tufts (and i’m freaking out)! Its really hard to focus on other apps when you love a school this much :). I have three questions:

@nidxo21

They’re still using TAMS as far as I know. It says that I’ve sent in everything and was just recently updated (around November 25 it was updated for my financial aid stuff) so I would be surprised if they’re using another database.

I would assume December 15 because that’s what they said a few weeks/months ago, but there’s the chance the decisions come back a little earlier/later. There’s really no way to know 100% for sure though.

I was spending a decent amount of time reading the admissions blogs. They’re pretty cool. However, I just don’t want to get myself too wound up over it. I still have a lot of work and have tried to get back into my hobbies to keep me engaged as senioritis kicks into full swing

Also, results come back in two weeks or so. I’ve already heard back from two other EA schools, still waiting on 5 EAs and Tufts, so I guess I’ll just have to wait and see if I have to submit any other applications.

Good luck to you guys!

Hi @nidxo21 @micmatt513 and everyone else . I’m wondering how you guys are able to use TAMS. I received an email from Tufts the day after I submitted my application with a link to some first party application status site (different from TAMS) and info to help me set up an account. When I log in, it shows a checklist of everything I’ve submitted but when I go to the TAMS site, the same login information doesn’t work and there’s no place to set up an account. Are these two sites the same?

Hi guys,

My parents said they’d do my financial aid stuff, so I let them. Big mistake. They still havent sent the copies of our tax returns/W2s out! My mom keeps saying that she thought it just had to be postmarked by/on december 1st, but it doesnt say that anywhere on the website. I’m kind of freaking out. Does anyone know for sure if that is the case?

Also, god forbid I dont get them in on time, would that affect my admissions decision? Or would it just discount me from getting aid?

They should’ve given you a unique link via email. If they didn’t, email Tufts support and they should be able to respond to you early tomorrow. I had to email their support (I wasn’t able to log on) and they were incredibly helpful and responded quickly.

@awkwardntall same situation here, my parents are being super last minute unfortunately I spoke with a friend who is applying ED1 to Columbia, and she told me that the Financial Aid Office at Columbia wasn’t very strict on the FA deadline, so here’s hoping it’s the same for Tufts…
@conservativearts I just think they don’t use TAMS anymore, I certainly can’t log into TAMS with my admissions checklist info
@nidxo21 I’m completely obsessed with the Tufts blogs too, it’s gotten bad! Withdrawal from all things Tufts is going to be very difficult if I don’t get accepted!

Do ED1 applicants get notified if admitted be email or snail mail?

@mauswa via portal

thank you.

Hi everybody!

I emailed tufts admissions to find out about TAMS and here is our golden answer.

“Thank you for contacting Tufts University!
We have had a database change. We formerly were using TAMS for the students to access their decisions and information. This year, with our new system, we are using the Application Checklist with the username and password that you were e-mailed. This is the portal that you will use for accessing your information.
I apologize for any confusion.”

So we aren’t going to receive an email notification or anything? Meaning we should basically be logging on to check for decisions every day?

@saxman19 We will get an email regarding the decision a few days earlier and also when decisions are out

Hi guys! This is the first time I’ve logged into CC since I was in your shoes this time last year (or, not quite, since I applied EDII to Tufts). I remember the feeling all too well, and I know how hard it can be to wait for the answer.

I just wanted to pop in and say that Tufts has a habit of releasing admissions decisions on Fridays (both EDI and EDII were on Fridays last year, and I believe the year before as well). While obviously that’s not solid evidence to go on, I wouldn’t bank on the 15th (a Monday). When decisions are up, you get an email and a letter in the mail a day or two later.

That said, best of luck to everyone!! I was a host for the VOICES program this year and I absolutely loved getting to know my prospective student and my friend’s prospective students–they all seemed like great fits for the school. Congratulations on making it this far in the college process, and always stay positive no what! I was rejected from my EDI school, but I stopped crying, put things in perspective, wrote 10 more applications, and now I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else. I believe in you guys! :)

@cw0829 Thanks for the positive words of encouragement! Are you sure ED1 decisions were released on a Friday last year? Everyone I’ve talked to said they were released on the 16th, which was a Monday. However, most schools this year are releasing ED decisions on the 12th, a Friday, so we’re all kinda unsure

@cw0829 So nice to hear!! Thanks so much
