Hi guys,

I am an ED 2er. February 15th still seems to be the date. Swarthmore seems to send everything out through the good old postal service.

I am also applying ED II. Do you know if the 15th is the date Swat sends out its decisions or the date when we are supposed to receive them?

From what i heard, swat tends to send out decisions like two day earlier, around 13th. But with mailing, it seems impossible for everyone to receive it all at a same time, so it’s hard to say whether 15th is sending or receiving. Also, any idea of international students?? Would that still be via mail…? That would go through a looooooong way!

EDII as well, freaking out. Good luck everyone! I’m crossing my fingers for everyone. <3

The ED1 discussion on this forum indicates that applicants started receiving ED1 letters on December 9. Since the notification date for ED1 was December 15, I am hoping that means the ED2 letters will be going out sometime this week.If the admissions department follows the same schedule maybe they will be mailed Wednesday, February 8. So not many more days to wait. Good luck everyone!

Oh wow!! Good luck guys! Anyone else knows anything about international notifications though? does that also go through mail? That’s a lot more anxious!

Does anyone know what the acceptance letter would look like? Is it true that it comes in a tiny envelope?

I just got my rejection. Marked yesterday’s date. :(

ED2 applicant from California here. Does anyone have any idea of how much longer the letters normally take to arrive on the West Coast?

Probably Saturday. Best of luck!

Thank you–likewise!

Thanks-we’ve already had all the Swat luck we need. I have an '07 grad and a current sophomore. ;)

sorry to hear ctodd…>< but best of luck in the rd rounds, plenty of other schools! Omg cant believe it’s happening now. Letters flying around all around the globe. I’m so anxious that i probably wont be able to spell anxious for a few days

Btw, let’s make this one a ed2 acceptance/defer/reject(hopefully not!><) thread!

It’s a flat, cream-colored envelope. Acceptances have a smaller envelope enclosed for the deposit. I live near DC and it came today. Good luck!

Accepted, and I’m still in shock. Excited beyond belief.

^^^^congrats and thank your local post office! That’s super-fast for the west coast!

congrats to both!!! Still waitin!

I received my rejection in the mail today. I genuinely thought Swarthmore was right for me, but apparently its admissions office felt otherwise. Congrats to all accepted, and best of luck to all those denied! Btw, if you, like me, were rejected, you may take solace in the fact that President Obama, too, was rejected by Swat.
