I haven't seen this thread yet - so I'm starting one.

For all the ED2'rs, please post hear when you hear about your ED2 decision. My daughter is waiting on pins & needles. Based on past years' posts, I'm betting decisions got mailed out today - and may start showing up tomorrow in surrounding areas, early next week for the rest of us.

I would assume the letters haven’t been sent on/before Monday the 11th otherwise it would be on their website/FB page/twitter feed. And given previous years’ trend, I’d expect letters to be sent by today (Tuesday). Fingers crossed!

Wow! Good catch following their Twitter feed!

Based on past years, I’d hoped that letters got sent out on Friday the 8th (which is when they appeared to go out before). But given that no one from surrounding areas reported getting letters by Monday, I’m assuming that didn’t happen. So now my hope is they went out Monday…but you may be right and they won’t go out until today or tomorrow. Good luck to all!

Is that your isolated case or the apparent norm? I assumed (and hoped) that those living overseas would get an email notification right away, i.e Monday afternoon in this case.

collegeconscious,
In the past, emails have not gone out the same day as “snail mail” letters have been sent. Swarthmore tries to be fair and not let internationals know their decisions before any of the domestic students could possibly have received their decisions. :)

got my rejection letter today (I believe it was from usps, but not sure). I live in Virginia. I presumed right away that it was a rejection letter due to the size of the envelope (I read somewhere that they gave out a package for acceptances), and I was right. Oh well, time to wait until April, I don’t mind too much.

Got my acceptance today in Delaware! It’s been a good day. It arrived in regular sized envelope, but that’s probably because I haven’t sent all my financial information yet and there was no package to send until the financial aid office processes the information. And to those reading thisgood luck!
