Thanx prospy! Congratulations.

25 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That seems like a lot.
I really hope I get in. I can't live without Vassar! Lol.
25 days
25 long days
25 amazingly long,l slow days
25!
As you can tell, I'm excited.
But I'm afraid to be too excited.
Anyone else applying EDII?

Yeah...I'm pretty nervous. I'm definitely going to have to get lucky! Where are you from? I think it will probably be less than 25 days.

If I get rejected, its gonna be an odd feeling. I think I'll end up at a good school no matter what, but for the past few months, i've envisioned myself at Vassar. If I don't get in, I have a feeling that I'm going to have a hard time letting go of that vision...

What do you feel the strengths of your application are? For me, I would say music, my interview, 800 verbal (although i'm sure SATs don't mean much at Vassar), and being a texan male.

Just from looking at what you posted, I think you have an excellent chance!

Good luck to both of us :)

I know what you mean about having a hard time letting go. I'm trying not to love Vassar too much.
I think my strengths are being a minority and my ACT isn't bad either. I hope it's less than 25 (24 now) days!

You ACT is far from bad. Its excellent, actually. My SAT score is much better than my ACT, I think (30). I would kill for a 33 ;)

23 days! I really hope we both get in. I think we both have an excellent chance. Let's hope to be 2 for 2 on early decision round II! I can't wait for much longer for that letter!

That would be great! I think out of 10 or so ED I applicants on this board, 8 got in.. or something like that.

Getting closer... I've been trying not to think about it too much, that makes the time go much faster.

Does anyone know when Vassar actually sends out the decisions? I know it says that we'll receive notification by February 1, but I also know that some ED I people found out 3-4 days before the 15th.

i am actually going crazy. do you think we could get our letters on friday?

I'm in Texas, so i'll probably get it on monday or tuesday :(. I'm not too anxious. I doubt i'll get in. If I do, it will be a freakin' miracle!

i'm in manhattan, so i feel like i could get it fairly soon...! i'm totally not getting in either, though. haha.

Hi BamThwok!
Wow, Friday? That'd be awesome. Oh wow, I'm excited. A little afraid of the loans I'll have to pay back after graduation if I go to Vassar, but I'm sure it will all work out. Too bad Vassar doesn't offer merit scholarships. This is making my parents hesitant about the school. But, oh well, it will all work out, I'm sure. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be.
Sorry about my ramblings, trying to reassure myself.

Well they sent out EDI letters five days before the deadline (sent: Dec. 10th for deadline Dec. 15th). If they followed the same schedule, they sent them out yesterday (!) and we should all be getting them soon.
However, I thought the deadline was the vague "early February" not the 1st specifically.

No one has heard anything yet? I thought people in the NE would have received the letters today. Hmm... Tomorrow perhaps? I'm hoping I find out on monday. I'm in Tx!

Oh, it specifically states that we'll hear "by february 1st." I've never seen anything about "early feb."

On the ED form they hand out at the school explaining EDI and EDII, it says early February. I received it when I visited. The website, however, says late January. Actually, moocow, I've never seen anything that specifically says Feb. 1. Where did you see that? In the application packet? I can't remember what that says at the moment. Since one thing said late January and the other said early February, I assumed we would be hearing sometime around February 1, but not necessarily before. However, I was sincerely hoping someone would get their letter today. :-( More waiting...

This is from the prospective student Q&A: "For Early Decision Round II, applications are due by January 1 and students will receive notification around February 1."

I'm trying to think where I got the "by feb. 1." It was either on the actual application or somewhere on the website.

Regardless, i'm sure people will begin to hear tmrw.
