so i'm highly interested in minoring in education (i'm a history major) and i just want to pick the brains of you brillant CCers on anything you know or have heard about the competiveness and/or difficulty level of this minor. or just anything you've heard about it in general. thanks!

bumpity bump bump

bump .

if you have the patience to get IN the minor, i'm sure it's worthwhile. it's pretty popular, especially when paired with psychology.
the thing is, it's a bit of a catch-22 to declare the minor. you have to take two education classes (and they must be on the list of approved minor courses) in order to declare the minor. but, to enroll in the classes, you pretty much have to be an education minor since they get priority, classes fill fast, and their seminar style of once a week 4 hour blocks means most of them conflict with your other classes.
you're going to have to dedicate two quarters to getting into education classes and being more flexible with your major classes. but once you reach that point, you should be fine.
i took one ed class (adolescent development with taylor) before i decided i wanted a different minor. i had a good time in that class, though, so i don't regret it.
