eFANS...Loans???

Does anyone know when eFANs are suppose to come out? On my ePAL, it said I qualified for 40,000+ in loans, but didn't tell me which type of loan I qualified for. I heard that the breakdown is suppose to be in eFANs. Does anyone know about this? or anything about taking out loans in general?

thanks. :)

i dont know when the FANs come out, but for theres a breakdown of the different loans and grants and stuff (for mine at least).

log into URSA at www.ursa.ucla.edu, and click on financial aid awards (or something similar to that, dont remember the exact wording).

40,000+? Thats not possible - a year at UCLA costs half that amount.

^Only for us Californians. Non-residents have to pay a good amount more.

I'm from out of state. The 40,000+ is for total cost for the whole year, and they said I qualified for loans for the entire amount. At least that's what the ePAL said.

more than likely it's a combination of Stafford-$2625 for Freshman, and 5500 for Junior Seniors, with the rest of it coming in the form of PLUS loan which needs to be paid back while you're in school.....The PLUS actually have a much higher interest rate...not really a great situation. But you gotta do, what you gotta do.

Furthermore, the eFANs come out from June-August, depending on how quickly they are able to process them, and how quickly we can get any verification forms that must be submitted......

ahh, well that makes sense. It just seems like there are so few out-of-staters, I didn't even consider the possibility.
