ELC Question

Hello everyone, I am a senior in high school, and I recently received a letter through the UC ELC program that guaranteed acceptance into UC Davis, as long as I apply in November. I am excited to say the least, because Davis is one of the schools I hoped to be accepted into and am strongly interested in attending, along with UCLA and Berkeley.

My standardized testing scores are a bit low, and I’m wondering if they will do anything to affect the fact that I am already accepted. Are my SAT Reasoning (1770: CR - 550; MATH - 620; WRITING - 600) and/or Subject Test scores (MATH II - 660; US HISTORY - 590) going to matter at all? I guess my bigger question is: Can I possibly be rejected because of my SAT scores, even though I was already accepted through the ELC program?

And, yes, I’m going to keep up my GPA at higher than a 4.0, so I’m only concerned about my SAT scores. Please get back to me about this if you know. Thank you. :)

Congrats!

ELC means that your are in, regardless of test scores -- just gotta take 'em, and complete the rest of the a-g requirements. Of course, those test scores will be a consideration in admissions decisions at Cal & UCLA.

Wonderful! Thank you. :)
