Election

No, it's true. The Democrats like to portray themselves as being the party of "the little guy," the average joe. One thing the party hasn't seemed to figure out is that the average joe really hates celebrities. Oh, he might buy that movie ticket and read the tabloids, but he really hates them. They are everything that he is not. And the only thing he hates more than celebrities is celebrities spouting off about politics, something that the vast majority of them know nothing about.

Well, the 220 Million people dying was the joke

Guys, both republicans and democarts are worthless, they both suck and in reality they do not attempt to compromise on anything.Congress is really split up and that is due to our "wonderful" president who has done nothing but bring the country to ruins. I do not prefer someone based on party but on values and merit. I liked Clinton ten times over Bush, does that make me a democrat, the answer is no. I like major Bloomberg, a republican, does that make me republican? The answer is no. I would pick a person who will do good for the country. Americans are starting to become hard headed. I would vote for Hilary or Guilliani or Schumer or Bloomberg.

Rumsfeld/Bush (Jeb) '08. The ticket dreams are made of.

Rummy? Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure.

Rumsfeld are are you crazy?

hopefully. he could never win, though...either that or the country has gone to hell in a handbasket.

which it has...

You know who should run? Marc Racicot (pronounced roscoe)

Republican 2-term governer of Montana, would have easily won all the terms he wanted. I even think they though about changing the state constitution so he could run a third time. He was also then-Gov. Bush's spokesperson throughout the 2000 campain, including the Florida debacle. While people hollard and screamed at the Bush campaign (maybe for good reason), everyone cooled down and listened whenever Racicot would talk. He was probably a big reason Bush eventually won.

He was also everyone's, including Bush's, front-runner for attorney general. I mean people in the media on both sides kept on asking when he would make a decision, and both agreed he would make a great attorney general. But he decided to leave public office, and we got stuck with Abramoff instead. Afterwards, the republicans liked him enough to make him head of their national committee though a time the republicans were as popular as they have been in the past 6 and a half years, even before sept. 11th. Even as an independent (and yes I'm from Montana), I would vote for this guy anytime.

Here's a link to an interview he did with PBS during the Florida debacle

Rummy would make a kick-ass president. Emphasis on the kick-ass. As Henry Kissinger once said, "Donald Rumsfeld is the most ruthless man I have ever met."

I think what America needs in its war on terror is a little ruthlessness. Bush is too soft, too Mr. Nice Guy. Rumsfeld is more like Israel.

But both are commanded by political correctness and critic's views

Yeah, but Rumsfeld isn't The Decider

I personally think Jeb Bush is the best out of the 3, but America will most likely never elect anyone with the name Bush again. Plus, he has no intention of running for pres for the next few election cycles.

Guiliani/Pataki!

"I personally think Jeb Bush is the best out of the 3, but America will most likely never elect anyone with the name Bush again. Plus, he has no intention of running for pres for the next few election cycles."

True. I could see Jeb as VP in the next administration, though. Serve as VP for an administration, then take a run at the big show, like his old man.

Donald Trump for President!

I Vote Pedro!

Pedro lacks political expereince.

Also, he's a Mexican immigrant of some sort...while I would consider him as a serious candidate, surely the rest of America wouldn't.

Depends if he's a legal or illegal one

My ideal democratic candidate would be Russ Feingold. He's a democrat with balls (a bit of an oxymoron). No way Rumsfeld or Jeb will win, they are too connected to the currently unpopular administration. And the idea of Pataki running and winning is hard to believe, given that he would have been trounced by Spitzer in this year's gubernatorial election. If he can't win as an incumbent governor, how could he get nominated and win a presidential election? Giuliani is also suspect, as he has never held a position higher than mayor.
