lol, to be honest, i don't have really little siblings, and i've never even seen nor heard hannah montana. until 3 days ago, i didn't even know who miley cyrus is hahahahahha

and i'd completely deserve it, af16 =) music is gonna be tough to give up though! it'll probably just make me think to myself more, instead of going along with the lyrics.

I have a link to a wonderful new artist and she just so happens to be releasing a new CD TODAY. So if you want to get your fill of music before you head off to BCT, get it. Her name is Mylin. She is the artist that sings the song called, "American Girl" and her music video featured the two female Air Force Thunderbirds! (you can view the music video on Youtube.) You can listen to her new CD here:

CD Baby: MYLIN: Last Call to Higher Ground.

She's has a beautiful voice and a great military story about how she came to be an "American Girl."

Missmuff when you are there with Potter next weekend she will walk you through how to have your music legitimately right out of basic. Believe me bending a rule is harder for her to do than pulling a tooth. Made it easy as a Dad.

As missmuff would know from ss, some of us will just sing ourselves if no other option is available...

good times! :) maaaaake your own kind of music...siiiiiiiing your own special soooong

I have such a lovely voice, too. }:-)

Actually, I was thinking about joining choir...I think it'd be fun. But I'm out if there're auditions. Eagle?

but yes, I'm eager to talk to Potter about all kinds of stuff! :)

ah singing :) i love to sing...

i think eagle told me some choirs, like the main choir, have to audition. but most of the others just wanna make sure you sound decent before they take you, so no worries ;)

nah, i'd join the church choir :D

well, maybe no worries for you...but i struggle to make the "decent" cut, as xcbug may tell you ;) we had fun though! (well...i did! lol)

hahahaha.... well hey, as long as you have fun, it doesnt matter what you sound like

that's what you say now....
;) jk

:) oh cmon let's lighten the cadre's strain with a good bit of joyful (woeful maybe?!) singing in the showers, eh? lol

lol. yea we tried that last year..but i can guareentee if they hear that "joyful" sound coming from you guys anywhere(but specially in the shower) they'll tell you to zip it. Be prepared to communicate in ways other then auditory during basic...;)

haha. Yep, you'll definitely learn to read body language a lot more. ;)

You ready for that lab tomorrow, cdk? I'm going to go beg redhead for help, since I stink at Physics (and I have an English paper to write tonight).

Just wondering, if I play an instrument (Saxophone) when can I have it/ play it and is there a limit to how many I can have?

10s Potterfan currently has her Oboe and a Fender Guitar in her room. She had to get a SSS completed for permission. You can have it, now playing it might be a different story. Keep in mind you will need to be considerate of your roommates etc. She has been learning Guitar chords for the last couple of years (self taught), and what she considers music (strumming) can be painfull for others. (JK Potter :)...

The do have a Cadet orchestra. Potter didn't have much time to play up through recognition (decided studying Ac and Knowledge were more important) Everyone has thier priorities.

Oboe huh? I played that years ago. My mouth still hurts thinking about it.... lol

my ears hurt thinking about u playing it hornet...

lol. j/k. the cadet orchestra is VERY impressive. they play with the Catholic Choir sometimes, and its always awesome to sing with them. they are accompanying the choir in this weekend's big concert

they should hurt. Sounded like a dying goose....lmao

Wow Hornet an Oboe player or as I liked to tease her a BoBo player. She is actually pretty good, but as with most things will never believe it herself. Eagle more of a dying duck is what I have always thought.

Oboe? Wow...didn't know that. :P

I have a guitar in my room, and didn't even get a SSS for it. Depends on the squadron, though I have a very hard time imagining any AOC denying permission to have a guitar/keyboard/strings/wind instrument.

As far as brass instruments, though, you might be allowed to have it, but you might get some complaints unless you're either very quiet or you're philharmonic quality. :P

I've got a keyboard with 76 keys in my room (IOW it's pretty big), and I never had to get anything signed for it. It really just depends on the squad.
