@Czechman @DiotimaDM
I just logged on and saw that the State Application is listed as “started.” Let’s hope that this means good news!
When I opened the application, it said, “Congratulations! District selection is complete and your application has advanced to the State level of judging. You are now required to upload documents verifying the academic and financial information you entered on your original scholarship application.”
Congrats, @dangkat5 ! That’s wht S has, and I’m assuming it means he - and you! - have advanced.
@DiotimaDM there is no monetary amount offered for advancing to States right? You still have to then get advanced to nationals?
so I just read the complete 2018 packet and only nationals get you prizes. Some states give money on their own, but not all. Fingers crossed to you all!
Yep, the first guaranteed scholarships are for those who advance in the next round, to nationals.
my son just got the official notification he is moving on to states!
Advanced to state! Good luck everybody!
just got the email that I advanced to state from Indiana!
Got the official email today at 3:29pm. Advancing to state in Oklahoma! Congrats everyone!
I received my email about advancing to state at 3:33pm today. Does anyone know if TX gives out any of the state level scholarships?
Im an NC applicant and have not received an email. My Ists hasn’t updated either. I think it’s safe to say I did not advance. Good luck to you all!
Congrats to everyone who’s advanced! For anyone who hasn’t heard anything, don’t stick a fork in it just yet. Wait until the end of the day tomorrow.
S received his email earlier this afternoon in CA, btw.
Received email today - Advanced to State level in Virginia!
Anyone hear from NC yet??
how do you know if your state awards money even if you did not make it to nationals?
@downbythesea I haven’t heard a thing…I thought I didnt advance, but maybe no one in NC has heard yet. Maybe there’s still hope lol
@breakfeastclub1234567890 If your state awards money separately, they will contact you somehow - email, postal mail, not sure. Based on last year, it’s pretty early for those notifications to go out, but it also varies state by state.
Moved onto states in NJ! How many people are competing at the state level, and how many move on?
@lesjubilants congrats! My son advanced from NJ too. Bergen county here. Whatabout you?
