I'm a californian cc student who got accepted from Berkeley.

And I've completed IGETC, major preparation, and 60 transferable units.

So I dropped the class which was not required for Berkeley, then I notified my admission officer.

She replied me saying that

"Because the change in your schedule did not compromise meeting the admissions requirements, your admission is sustained."

Does this mean I'm fine or what?

I get the "your admission is sustained" part.

But I don't understand the first sentence.

:'(

Lol it means you are fine.

But seriously, couldn’t she have said that in plain English! Like “you are fine” would have been perfect.

It means even though you dropped a class, you are still fulfilling all of their requirements for admissions so you are fine and there is no need to worry.

That is English. The educated English, not high school English.

Yeah, you’re fine, have fun at UCB!

only if ucla was this clear

You would think that people that are capable of getting into Berkeley could read English, but apparently that is not the case. Sad world.

yea, and that’s why I’m majoring in math.

Woah people and their harsh mellows bringing you down. Girl/Bro, just do you and congrats!

You’re good. Lets just set the record straight: as long as you maintain a 3.00 GPA, complete IGETC, and you’re major prep you should be fine correct?

Wow you’re lucky. I withdrew a class hardly related to my major and got the “your admission is in jeopardy” message instead. ):
