Has anyone received any emails from them besides the one that said that they have received your application?

I don’t think you’re supposed to get any emails besides confirmation that your application was received, or if you are invited to apply for Alumni/Regents scholarships, or if you have to fill out a supplement. UCLA will send an e-mail on Friday linking you to your admission decision, and obviously if you are accepted you’ll get a flood of new emails about Bruin Day, housing, SIR, etc.

@UC-Dreams Do you know around what time could we expect to receive this email?

Decisions should be released by 5 PM Pacific Time, but the email will come later, around 5:30.

Ucla is a great school!

Where would we go on the website to find our decision?

Besides the likely letters some engineers received, I believe OP is referring to the nothingness that comes between submission of application and notification. It is a big chasm compared to other schools where you have a portal to check they received things, or little marketing emails reminding you how bad the school wants you, etc. Every month or so I would freak out and think, “Did we miss something, did S forget to reply to something?” And quickly typing away, would hit that same notice that they have received the app and to check later… nothing else. I guess UCLA makes it easy with their “don’t call us, we’ll call you” approach, even if it does instill panic now and then.

I assume each person will get an email with news or the link to the news where you might have to enter bday or app #, etc. Someone who has been there/done that would know best, I’m just guessing.

I guess the nothingness is better in a way. Used to check the portal so many times a day for Cal Poly and the same now with UC Irvine. GLTA
