<p>I was accepted off the waitlist at my first choice school, and so wish to withdraw my enrollment to NYU. I called their office, but they directed me to the page concerned with deferring for a semester, which I have no interest in doing. I've both confirmed my enrollment and registered for housing, and can't figure out how to withdraw from either! Any help?</p>
<p>You should call back and directly tell them that that’s not the option that you want. Specifically say to them something along the lines of," I will not be attending NYU at all. Please withdraw my acceptance to your university."</p>
<p>A few of my friends withdrew from Stern. Just email them a short letter of explanation or call them. They will respond with a very impersonal response, but let you know that it’s been taken care of. </p>
