I am a sophomore at Northeastern looking to transfer to either Emerson, Ithaca or Syracuse. I am looking at the screen writing for film and television program for any of these schools. Emerson is the first choice, since I love, love, love the Boston area. I have a 3.5 GPA here at college and a 3.4 for high school. I have organized poetry slams, poetry workshops, won awards for songs that I have written, mentored at local elementary schools the past two years, etc. Do you think that I have a chance to get into any of these places, or am I just dreaming?

Hopefully someone can help to quell my fears.

I don't think you will have a problem getting into those schools. As a Sophmore, your college record will apply. Most schools no longer consider your HS stats at that point, which works well for you since you have a nice gpa.
Good luck!

Thanks, LilyMoon!

Hopefully some more people will jump one board. I am a nervous wreck and hopefully some one else can help to quell my fears about this transfer!

Coming from Northeastern after performing so strongly you should have no problem getting into Emerson. I think Ithaca is also a safe bet. Syracuse is probably the most competitive, and the least I know about - but you should be fine.
