can anybody tell me the relationship between emory u and oxford college? ive heard that oxford students automatically go to emory after 2 years and get a degree from emory, yet oxford admissions is no where near as difficult as emory's. for a kid who really wants to go to emory but cant get in, is it worth it to go to oxford for two years?

that's pretty much for you to decide - oxford is a good way to get into Emory, and it isn't TOO far from Atlanta, but you have to be willing to live in a small community with close interaction with professors

Oxford is like a high school the first two years, except less fun. Its in the middle of georgia. Unlike normal LACs, there is basically very little to do socially on the weekends. My brother went there for a year and couldn't take it another minute, so he transferred out.

Oxford is a lower two-year college and is part of Emory University.

It's very expensive (~$20,000 for tuition) when you consider that Emory College is not much more expensive and provides significantly more resources.

I don't think it's worth it.
