…I’m not sure why everyone is so positive it will be released Saturday. We haven’t been notified of anything yet!

Yeah I called Admissions today and they said December 15th - the fact that the OPUS system hasn’t been working all the time and we haven’t received any notification at all, it may just end up being December 15th :(

Last year, students received emails on Wednesday (today) saying they would be available Saturday at 8:00 AM - they were avail. on Sat @ 12:15 AM (I already said this but just restating) - so we still have a chance.

I wonder if the kids last year also called and the adcoms said the decisions would come on the 15th. I mean someone said they called earlier this week and that the adcoms said by friday but now your saying on the 15th…

i have a question uvaorbust…your username makes it seem as though you’re pretty adament about uva and since you’re writing on this thread i’m assuming you applied ed for emory. what changed your mind and made you switch from uva to emory?

Lol michy this kid just stalks my account, he looks at all my posts (I don’t know why) - UVA is his #1 he didn’t apply ED to Emory

Things just got more interesting…Uff…I think we need a bigger sample. Everyone call admissions and ask, then we’ll compare the answers…

They close at 5 EST so we’ll have to wait until tomorrow.

i’m not gonna lie…that sounds kinda creepy.

You’ll find out tomorrow regardless. If it is going to be released Saturday I’m sure we will get an email tomorrow, otherwise just wait it out. No reason to annoy admissions about it, they say December 15th, we should expect the 15th.

And who knows, it could be released Monday or Tuesday. Moral of the story: we will find out soon.

lmillz, stop being so reasonable!

Haha, I just tossed the idea out, no intentions on following through. Moral of story: We are inconclusive on when results are being released.

I’m sure Admission offices (especially at top schools) know how nervous the applicants are. We’re not really “annoying” them - this is their job!

Also I hope OPUS doesn’t crash when decisions do indeed come out. That makes the waiting process that much worse. I can’t even bring myself to start my homework, I can’t even focus.

^I agree…and don’t even mention OPUS crashing…scary thought.

Same problem with homework, basically this whole week, but hopefully there will be a cure at the end of this week.

There won’t be (for me at least). I hope the interest I showed was enough - I keep on forgetting how much Emory likes demonstrated interest. That has to help, no?

hey guys! i applied ED1 too! just wanted to say how much i love this thread. i’m kind of exploding with anticipation. i actually can’t wait any longer. and i’m totally the same, haven’t done my homework this whole week

Haha, I was just thinking about that. These last few day could be a test on demonstrative interest. I’m probably calling tomorrow to confirm that all my items have been received and I’ll also ask out decision day date.

And welcome to the thread, DACB3122.

begood what does your OPUS say? Mine says everything is completed so I feel no need to call them and confirm? I mean it’s a great excuse to call, and then at the end tack on “oh and by the way when do decisions come out?”

what’s the number you use to call admissions? because the number i had went to a recorded message

this is definitely like a support group. freaking out emory applicants anonymous??

DACB - I use 404-727-6036

To talk to anyone as soon as you hear the voice hit “5”, then wait a couple seconds, then hit “#”. Yeah, I have this memorized…Admissions office closes at 5 though.
