<p>I have a 10k Emory Opportunity Award listed on my financial aid page and I'm not sure if it is considered merit or need based aid. I can't seem to find any information on the Emory website. </p>

<p>My dad called and apparently it is considered to be merit aid. It isn’t on the website because it is a brand new program. It is a 4-year scholarship with absolutely no strings attached or requirements.</p>
<p>So I got 15k per year in this Opportunity award, but no need-based aid. As it isn’t on the website I can’t do any actual research, but I’m guessing that perhaps Opportunity and Advantage are exclusive as my family easily falls into the <100k per year bracket. Any way to confirm/deny this? Thanks in advance.</p>
