<p>I thought to be a competitive applicant for the Emory Scholars they recommended a 33 or 2200? I guess everyone can dream can’t they?</p>
<p>Ye its pretty darn hard to make Emory Scholars, but I don’t think anywhere as hard as for UGA Foundation Fellows tho, due to less slots offered at the latter school</p>

<p>Yes 2d34bl. They review your common app as well as emory scholars app to determine if you are a semifinalist. Semifinalists compete for a finalist position. Finalists are all interviewed at Emory and will receive 2/3 tuition to a full ride. I believe all semifinalists receive merit aid as well although of lesser amounts.</p>
<p>emorydeac, how much does the Emory Scholars play into consideration to be a semi-finalist? I have a 31 ACT and 3.6 GPA UW (though much higher after senior year 1st quarter grades) so obviously I am on the lower end of the ranges, but is there any chance I will be a semi-finalist?</p>

Preferably, those at number 1 & 2 would help u much. After u make interview round, its all about leadership and poise, like most other prestigious undergrad scholarship/fellowships</p>
<p>Not to be a downer TJC747, but I totally disagree with boomshakalaka. You are within the average range of Emory’s matriculated students and your GPA is lower than the average matriculated student. I would be extremely surprised if you were selected. However, it never hurts to try.</p>
<p>Emorydeac, trust me I know my chances are slim for Emory ED, Scholars isn’t even worth getting my hopes up for. I mean I applied to Scholars but I highly doubt I will get it.</p>
