Can someone elaborate on this. I have visited the Emory website but still am a little confused.

If I apply to Emory regular decision, can I still be in the running for the Scholar program? I do not want to apply early decision to Emory. Will this deny me the chance of applying to the Scholar Program (preferably the Goizueta one).

To be considered for the Emory Scholars Program, you need to be nominated by your high school (see your h.s. counselor). Information and forms are sent to high schools by Emory University in the early Fall. Nominations by each high school are limited to 4 nominated students. As well, there is another scholars program, the Goizueta Scholars program, which is more limited and specific to prospective business school students. This program is still somewhat new, and seems to be evolving. To better understand these programs, call the Emory Office of Admission.

Concurrent with the nomination/application to the Emory Scholars Program, you would also need to apply for Admission to Emory. You do not need to apply "Early Decision"; however, the deadline for application to the Emory Scholars Program is earlier than the deadline for Regular Admission applications; therefore, you will need to be cognizant of this date and what you will need to submit before the deadline date.

If you do a SEARCH in this Emory forum for "Emory Scholars Program", I'm sure you will find a lot of relevant threads. Better yet, call the Office of Admission to get your questions answered. Good luck.

I am going to apply also, but my counselor still has not received the form.
Can anyone P.M. me the essay prompt so that I can get started? Thanks.
