Emory University Class of 2016 EDI

I got in! Wooo!!! :)

Why is this thread so quiet? and decisions?

I don’t know about you guys, but CC was down for me tonight. I’m assuming this is why this and other Emory threads are so quiet–we’ll probably hear from people tomorrow.

In!!! I’m so happy. Yesterday was pretty brutal but it’s such a relief to be done. Congrats to all my fellow Emory 2016 peers!

CC was down for me last night too. But the waiting is over and I was accepted!

My son is IN too. Stats on the other thread.

I’m accepted! So unbelievably happy and relieved. Can’t wait to meet
everyone in the fall! :)

Glad to see so many people got accepted  Congrats everyone!!! See you all next year~

Just made the deposit online. My son is officially a member of the Emory Class of 2016! Now he can spend the vacation going over different housing options for Fall.

Does anyone know if I can change my password on OPUS? Kinda sick of keep having to go through my notepad for it >.<;;

You can change your passwords (this is a system-wide thing) here: https://enid.emory.edu/idm/user/login.jsp

However, I think it’s only possible to change the password if you’ve been admitted; not sure. =/

hey is anyone elses opus down? I got my acceptance letter though! yayy! then after a few hours OPUS went down for me…

I got my financial aid package and it says $5500 loan and and $31554 in grants, $2500 for estimated work and $4300 for estimated georgia grants so it equals to $43854. But the cost of attendance is $57,002 so who is expected to pay for the $13000 difference? Also our total family income is $24k so I should be eligible for Emory Advantage’s Loan Replacement Grant but it doesn’t mention anything about it.
I also had a question about the Loan Replacement Program. If there is a gap as in my case and id i take federal loans like the stafford or perkins is this also covered in the Loan replacement?
Thanks in advance :)

As a current Sophomore at Emory I would just like to say congratulations to the newly accepted class of 2016 !! If you guys have any questions (no matter how odd or random) feel free to email me at mgsmit2@emory.edu. I am a member of Emory Student Ambassadors and I am a current Emory Tour Guide. If I don’t know the answer to your question I will most definitely try to direct your question to somebody who does know it. Again, congratulations and enjoy your holiday break!!

My son is a freshman at Emory and loves it. We are West Coasters, and although it would have been nice to have him here in California, I think Emory is the perfect fit for him and I am very happy that he chose it. As a parent, I also love the school, and the campus, and feel that there is a real sense of community and caring. It’s fun to be able to go and visit him in Atlanta too, I get to take a mini vacation each time I go.
Any parents/students who have any questions (not that I know a ton as I’m long distance) feel free to e-mail me :-)

And a big congratulations to all who have been accepted so far! I’m so glad it’s all behind us now…we were SO stressed out last year at this time. My son did not apply EA so we had to wait until April 1 to find out!

I received the same email last week about being assigned a financial aid advisor. Have you been admitted? The Emory website suggests that this email you are referring to goes to students only since you find it in the section of “current students” on their website. Please let me know if you have been admitted since I received the same email. thanks!
