@bernie12 That leaves me wondering too. Do you know where I can find the checkbox where it asks if I want to be considered for scholarships? I just want to double check that I said yes! 
You don’t have to check any Box. You must just submit ALL REQUIRED MATERIALS by the 11/15 deadline.
@ryandryu and @Obed625 : Yeah, I thought there was some box and then submission of the materials or something like that. Basically, it came down to expressing interest in being considered and submitting your application by the deadline so that they can start screening. Really only time is a against you because my understanding is that they don’t ask for any supplemental materials (specific to Scholars) until after the applications are submitted. Either way, I thought you had to indicate an interest of consideration in some form or another because there are also folks who apply for early Decision. How would they be differentiated? Or would someone submitting ahead of an ED deadline just be auto-considered?

So beyond that, it is merely getting the basic app. materials in on time.
I’m pretty sure I remember there being a box you check but I can’t find it anywhere on my son’s common app now.

Emory has a waitlist, but took ZERO from last year’s list. More accepted their offers for admission than expected.

Hi @Rist54 . S was a strong student in HS. Several APs, 32 ACT, 4.2 GPA. He is thoroughly enjoying being a student athlete. He loves the camaraderie on the team. He has not had much difficulty balancing academics and athletics, although it’s challenging to find time for much else. He did not join any clubs his first semester though is making an effort now. No one has said anything about the scholar notification being today. ED2 comes out today.
@collegemom9 @Itiznotfare Last year the ED2 and the Scholars notifications went out on the same day. Last year, the day was only known as ED2 day so it was a surprise that the Scholar notices were given. Additionally, some students who applied RD were not accepted as scholars on this day, but they were notified of their admission.
@MPBBonnie Actually last year Emory Scholars were notified on 2/8 and ED2 was 2/15…No one knows when scholars are being announced. We only know that ED2 comes out tonight at 6.
