I don’t think we got an email and we did apply, I’ll recheck with my H. Did everyone on this thread get an email on Feb 13?
I also interpreted it that way. But, in a subsequent paragraph it’s a bit more clearer to suggest that ALL who applied for the program and by the due date are all under consideration. So, everyone (> 11,000) must have received the email.
Check spam. The email is for everyone. Finalists haven’t been announced.
Got a financial aid email from them and it was rather specific.
Yea me too, I still haven’t submitted it, I emailed back saying I’ll do it as soon as possible.
Financial aid and admissions operate separately. Don’t read anything into receiving mail from FA.
Hey, I’m a freshman Emory scholar. I know how much anxiety all of you are feeling (I sure know I was anxious right before decisions came out!) If you have any questions I can try to answer them. I lurked (but never commented really) on College Confidential last year, but I know that if I did a “chance me” post most people would probably say Emory was a low reach or something, but I still got the Woodruff Scholarship. Just hang in there, and no matter what happens you should be proud of whatever college you get into!
For financial aid awards such as student loans with the status of “Offered”, how do I accept these awards? Maybe I’m bad at navigating the OPUS since I’m new to it but it says to “Review the award and then submit my decision.” Do I simply send the financial aid office an email? Thank you in advance!

It should say a button next to accept then, asks for an e-signiture. Then that’s it.
How many people generally receive their acceptances on the same day that scholars notifications come out?
I’m pretty sure anyone who is selected as a finalist is offered admission @lemonstress23
I read that some people who aren’t selected as finalists are still offered admission on the same day
@lemonstress23 - you are correct. some got admission to colleges even without selected to scholars program (not sure how many).

The finalists have been around 175~200 depending on the applicants (all for 3 colleges) … so maybe 200 this year.

On my portal, the section that shows all the materials I’ve turned in is gone! Could this mean they’re getting ready to post an update?
Wait what do you mean? In the email given out like a week ago, it says all applicants will be notified whether or not they are a finalist in the email?
