******EMORY UNIVERSITY RD 2019 thread*****

We can’t find financial aid information either.

I can see my financial aid by logging into opus and there is a link called “financial aid” under finances and when I click on that there’s a little link that says “financial aid year 2015-2016” and then “award summary” and then I can see what I was offered.

Mine does not have an option to do that.

It was very hard to find the FA info, and then disappointing when we did. :frowning:

On Opus: in the finances section: link to financial aid: Then below the 3rd heading (blue bar/Financial Aid) there are tiny links to Award Summary, etc. Once there, if you have info for both schools, there will be a link to switch to the other school.

@shoeboemom : You should ask for more if that is what is needed perhaps citing that selective institutions with similar sized class sizes (or smaller) and lower endowments offer more financial aid to those in your income bracket (such as Vanderbilt). It is getting to the point where Emory’s FA scheme is a hindrance to yielding the “best” (however you define them) students which is ashamed because Emory offers as good or perhaps better academics than some schools that are closely (even some higher ranked) depending on the areas of interest (I won’t go into specifics though).

How did you even get there? When I click my financial aid the message that pops up is

If the current aid year link is not available to you, either your aid is currently in process or your file may be incomplete. Please check for any outstanding items under your To Dos section or contact the Office of Financial Aid if you have questions.

@shoboemom‌ …may i sak how much your efc was and how much in need based aid u received?

I did not get an emory package (stickers and congratalatory message and all) should I be worried?
