Praying that I get into Emory. I have a 2110 SAT (730WR 720CR 660M) and 3.9 GPA (9 AP’s) and some pretty good extracurriculars, accentuated by my essays, but I have some strange circumstances that I am worried might hinder my chances of getting an acceptance. Fingers crossed!
Where do you find additional information?
It is a column on the financial aid documents table, referred to on the OPUS portal as “to do list”. You click “details” to see the table. @jk0919 @epicorangeninja
Mine says “emory university-college of arts and sciences” and “oxford college-associate of arts” or something like that. I applied to both schools
How weird…In my OPUS “To Do List” it says only “Emory University” even though I applied to both Oxford and Emory Colllege. Under the Admissions Column on the home page it says Emory University “Liberal Arts & Sciences” and “Associate of Arts”…I’m assuming the latter is referring to Oxford though?
Yeah mine just says Emory and I applied to both.
Same here. It used to list both schools and now only lists Emory two times.
Same here. It used to list both Emory and Oxford, now it lists Emory twice, but one of them says Liberal Arts and Science in the column next to it, and the other says Associate of Arts.
D was accepted into both Emory and Oxford (got early notification after she applied to the scholars program).
Hoping for good news on Thursday. S received his first rejection today from Northwestern
@canes19 same here, just got rejected from northwestern and waitlisted from notre dame. Also got waitlisted by Uva and Vanderbilt a few days ago. I really hope I get some good news on thursday
I don’t think “Liberal Arts & Sciences” and “Associate of Arts” mean anything b/c i had them from the very beginning.
Oh weird, mine says Emory University now, one with Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the other one with Associate of Arts
@JalapenoGreens I had the same thing from long ago. don’t know if it means anything.
Hey, when I click on “details” on the to do list, I see “No current to do item information found.”
Does anybody else have this?
Also, I didn’t apply for financial aid, and I thought my stats were okay for emory and oxford: 32 ACT 3.83 GPA
@jkimmmmm : Those schools all seem to have stuff in common (D-1 sports and a pretty big sports scene at that…maybe NU a little less so), you sure you would seriously consider coming to Emory?
@bernie12 Emory’s business school trumps its lack of any big athletic scene. And other than not having great sports, I’ve loved everything else about Emory. I’m going to visit in April if I get in and I guess I’ll see how it compares to UNC (other top choice).
Okay…I was just making sure because for some people it apparently matters almost too much.
@epicorangeninja if you didn’t apply for FA then this wouldn’t apply to you.
Why did some people get invited to essence of Emory and others didn’t? I’m kind of worried now that I’m going to be rejected since I didn’t get the invite…
