**EMORY UNIVERSITY RD DISCUSSION CLASS OF 2021**

@jjmama Ohh you’re right. My bad!

So even if we aren’t a scholar winner, is there a chance we will get our admission decision? Also I got an email from the music department saying they recognized my interest in music and they asked for a supplement. Although I live music, I decided not to sunny a supplement as music is not what I’m going to pursue as a degree. By submitting anything would that hurt my chances or is it indifferent?

@musical99 : Uhm, you could send a supplement anyway. There are many ways to be involved in music on a campus than being a major…sending it could only help and would not commit you to a major if selected for admission.

And from my understanding, those not selected to interview for the Scholars program or receive a smaller scholarship without interview must wait until everyone else receives a decision.

Does anyone have any intel on the likely date(s) when RD is released?

Just received a request for a dance supplement!!

Only Emory Scholars finalists will be announced today. Other scholarship winners will be notified later per the admissions blog. https://blog.emoryadmission.com/2017/02/scholar-programs-notification-day-2017/

It’s awful quiet in here . . .

EMORY SCHOLAR FINALIST

Congratulations @Harryp17 !! I am also an Emory Scholar Finalist! So excited!

Im an Oxford Scholar Finalist @Visconformity

I received a request for a music supplement as well. I plan on submitting it even though my major is not in music.

Does anyone know how many Woodruff scholars are finalists? And how many are awarded?

@AnimeMango what instrument do you play? S got a request too. He plays cello.

Does anyone know when, historically, Emory releases its regular decisions? (i.e., like third Thursday in March, etc.) Thanks.

@brooklynilene last year it was March 30th, a Wednesday. If they follow that pattern, I wouldn’t expect decisions this year until sometime in March, likely between March 29-31 (Wed, Thurs, Fri).

Thank you @sirhcgled

Does anyone know if the Arts departments contact those who sent in supplements after they are submitted?

I got an email back from the head of the vocal department thanking me for my submission. For cello, I didn’t get a response after I submitted my recording. However, I don’t know the impact of this on the admissions process. Will we find out earlier if we get recruited?

I also play cello and got an additional request email. I guess the Emory Symphony just lacks cellists this year? LOL But I don’t play cello good enough. It’s just one of my hobbies. I submitted anyway and did not get any email back.
