I have a question though… do they inform you on whether or not you weren’t selected to come off the waitlist? Or they just tell those who do make it off the waitlist?
Judging from the previous years waitlists I’m pretty sure they just email/call you if you are chosen off the waitlist and if you are not then you are emailed when they have accepted all the waitlisted students they need
I called today and they said evaluation of waitlisted applicants has begun and we’d hear back beginning in mid may.
Has anyone heard anything?
No,what about you?
Unfortunately no :((
Anyone hear anything??
How have you guys updated Emory? ie sending in a letter of continued interest, updated scores, etc.
@emoryhopeful2021 I sent in a letter of interest and an updated résumé.
Is it super important to update them with your most recent grades?
Also did you email the regional representative or emorys admissions email? @reneenee btw sorry for the spam waiting is stressful
@Emoryhopeful2021 lol I can completely understand why you are stressing because I am too. Well, I didn’t update Emory with my most recent grades because I had sent them my midyear report back in March. But is it important to update them with your most recent grades? Umm, I’d say not really but if you choose to it would better your chances of getting off the waitlist than the next applicant. Remember it is entirely optional. I say you should just write a letter of interest expressing your sincerest feelings for the university and really explain why it is your number 1.
And I didn’t think of sending it to my regional representative but I should now that you said it lol. But originally, I did send it to the admissions email at admission@emory.edu.
Thanks for the response @reneenee !! I had already updated them with the letter of continued interest and some new info on my extracurriculars. They said it didn’t really matter who you send the material too but I feel like the regional rep has more influence. I’m also thinking about sending in my most recent grades but they’re not the best and they already have the midyear report so I’m not sure how to go on from here.
Also when I called they said they sent out a handful of acceptances already which is all the more nerve wracking :-S
What does that mean? People have already been called about getting off the waitlist?
Like seriously?
Like seriously? People have gone off the wait list?
I think so @Rhay20
I got an email from the Associate Dean of Admission notifying me that I would be admitted off the waitlist on Wednesday. I had sent a letter of continued interest and a letter of rec from my previous internship mentor. Good luck guys!
