I was notified today that I'm a finalist:) Does anyone know how many students are accepted each year? (i know it's 10 total for ALL the fields, but what about medicine alone?)

I am also one of the finalists for medicine. There are eight graduate schools that participate in the program (though I doubt that nursing and divinity get many applicants), so I would guess that 1 or 2 will be accepted for medicine.

Are you flying from Siberia? That would be huge trip o_o I look forward to seeing you there :)

EDIT: or it one of those CC sarcasm again? i don't perceive sarcasm well on the internet:( last time...there was almost an argument.

The medicine program will most likely only accept one student. If this year is conducted like previous years, you also will not meet each other as all interviews are scheduled seperately.

Yeah it's sarcasm. Sorry to disappoint.

I found out today that out of the ten finalists for medicine, at least two (and possibly three) will be selected.

Did you call the admission office? That's good news :) At least, there will be someone to celebrate the success with.

I had my interview today and was told that we would find out at the end of next week. Did anyone else find out anything more specific?

OMG really? i definitely don't remember anyone saying that. who did you have the interviews with? my interviewers were Dr. Drake and Dr. Exton.

I had my interviews with Dr. Zic and Dr. Atkinson. Ms. Fulton-John was the one who told me when decisions would be made.

weasel and sakura:

-Since you two are finalists for the program, do you mind posting your stats? I'd like to see how good a chance I stand next year, and what I can do to improve. Thanks.

Here ya go. I think the main factors in my being named a finalist were my medical research and the essays I wrote for the ENGAGE application.

i've never typed stats before and i'm too lazy to do it nowXD however, i'll pm you my resume, which has everything in it.
