Does Uconn have a good Engineering program overall and especially in computer/electrical engineering?

I would say yes. The professors really care a lot, and if you do your best you will be just as good as an engineer from any school.

Hey bigndude..do u attend uconn? If yes, i have one question regarding the engineering program. I am going to graduate this year and have already applied to uconn online. I applied to the ACES : UNdecided program. I really want to learn something in engineering but i know that i am not well prepared. I haven't taken calc or physics in high school. So, can you tell me how exactly it works in the engineering department? Will I be able to major in engineering..how will the aces program help me? any insight will be very helpful..thx

Aces won't help you much but not to worry. Some people haven' taken calc or physics yet in the program now. First semester all engineers take calc. For some its their first time and for some its not. Physics, is also taken either 2nd semester freshmen year or later, but some people haven't taken that either, so you just learn it then. The point of college isn't to go in an know everything, its to learn. If you know you want to do engineering, change as soon as you can. If not do ACES and explore all of the majors by taking tons of way different classes.

and yes I go to uconn

hey bigndude, does the ACES truly help???
i applied and recieved my acceptance, and if ACES could narrow down my interests into a career i would really consider UCONN. I know i want to go into any science related field but i cannot break it down any further....both engineering and medicine/dentistry seem worthwhile at this point.

It will help if you know what general direction you want, not if you are clueless.
