Do you guys know whether CoE/Cornell waitlists or defers transfer applicants??

If I’m not mistaken, I believe it’s rejection/acceptance

zirt, if you want, i could call tomor to double check the approx date…lol
pacific, i too believe it’s either acceptance or rejection…it’d just be too cruel to waitlist or defer transfers…

but yeah…Cornell’s engineering is just so awesome and prestigious…i couldn’t really think of any other schools that have better engineering programs than cornell’s other than MIT, Stanford and Caltech…(UCberkley if you take public school into account)…

Yeah true it is. Yeah NOOOBIE, it would really help my mind be more at peace if you could double check the approx date. Thanks a ton! I have a chemistry final tomorrow morning, so I’m off to bed.

lol, k, later bro. good luck with your test.

please tell me how can we transfer our college in engineering

please tell me how transfer college in engineerling

imran, call Cornell. the deadline passed a while ago. if you’re in cornell and you want to do an internal transfer, not sure how that works.

Alright engineers, listen up:
I called CoE admissions today and asked when will decisions for transfers be sent out. The lady who answered said that decisions will be sent out in May/June on a rolling basis. Also said that decisions will not be given out over the phone and we’ll be notified via snail mail.

Haha alright, thanks pacific. I believe NOOOBIE must have called as well. What exactly did they say NOOOBIE? Same as what they told pacific? Apparently, we’ve heard last week of April and from pacific, May/June. Pretty close. But just for reassurance, post whatever they told ya today if you called them, NOOOBIE!

Ya, i called today and the lady who answered the phone told me decisions will be mailed out beginning in May on a rolling basis. so yeah…Also…on the CoE’s website it’s said that decisions would be available from late April to like July on a rolling basis…
what majors did you guys apply again? i only applied Electric and Computer engineering…people applying different majors would be put in a different pools right?

Haha, don’t worry NOOOBIE, I at least, am not competing against you. I’m majoring in Chemical Engineering. So excited to do it at Cornell!..hopefully. Man, I hope the first wave of decisions is sent out this Monday…Thanks for calling NOOOBIE.

Also NOOOBIE, if they’ll be notifying us of our decisions ONLY by snail mail, then what exactly is the point of having the online application status? Was that only for checking whether all the application materials were received? I’d hope they’d be kind enough to post our decisions there and save us the wait. Even on the website it is delayed 48 hours. Hmm. Anyone want to swap essays/rec letters about engineering on this thread?

Zirtico: Yeah, it would make sense. Maybe the application status was purely there for checklists… It would make most sense. Snail mail and email would seem more efficient. BTW, hope i’m not intruding in posting here. 0_o

i think its priority mail.

Hmm…priority mail? Didn’t they take their time sending it to you dragon? Took too long to receive your letter when you’re so close right? And remy: not intruding, anyone’s welcome.

when i got mine, it was postmarked on 21. And I got it on Thursday. so it took 2 days :)! plus, the cost was 2.53 :D!! haha

^ Thank You for Sharing

np, and i think that the status page will start being updated next week or beginning of may.
