engliah and math

So, I haven't taken english or math yet and I'm planning to apply this fall. I know we have until spring before transferring to complete them but will not having these requirements done by fall hurt my chances?

No it won’t, but I would certainly try to take them (as well as all prerequisites) by the Fall of the year that you apply.

P.s. I like how you miss-spelled and didn’t capitalize English in your title, it was kind of ironic =).

Good Luck!

I’d really try to get your English, math and major prereqs done by the end of fall. I don’t think it would hurt you, but it certainly wouldn’t help. Leave Spring for the random IGETC requirements (art, history, etc).

If you’re going to TAG into any of the UC schools then you NEED to have your math and English done by the end of Fall 2010. Just wanted to throw that out there in case that was a option you were considering, or for anyone that looks at this post.

Virtuscience, It’s “misspelled” not “miss-spelled” lol.

virtuscience: Those who live in glass houses… Hahaha jk.

kimkim13: You don’t have to finish english and math until spring prior to transfer for regular admissions, but for TAG, you need to have finished at least one of each the summer before you even apply (for UCI, at least).

Don’t forget people get rejected just because they didn’t have english and math out of the way before spring.

Good point. Irvine actually requires that the math class and the first English class be completed by the Summer before you transfer.

Hey rengesjr, you’re right lol. Thanks, I’ll remember that!

I didn’t mean to sound harsh… I really thought it was ironic and a little funny lol.

There was another post about someone who got rejected because they didn’t finish the English. So yes, this can hurt a bit. The way to take on this problem is to mention it in the additional comments section. I myself didn’t get math done before fall, so I’ll be taking it this upcoming semester. My excuse: my ccc was taking on massive class cuts, my registration appoint was way late and I could get a math class in the spring. There were scheduling complications in the summer, too. ( true story)

So, just make sure you can explain this to them.
