alright, so i'm prepping up to transfer for Fall 2011, for UCI as an English major. i was just wondering if anyone with UCI experience in transferring, had issues getting accepted if they didn't have a couple of their pre-reqs done? i'm a little concerned about my pre-reqs, though from assist.org, it seems to mention that:

This major does not require the completion of prerequisites for admission as a
transfer student. However, one year of lower-division writing must be completed
prior to enrolling in any UC Irvine English or Literary Journalism courses.

i'm fine with my lower division writing. and again - pre-reqs are pretty much covered save for a couple of classes that will be done by this upcoming fall.

ALSO: i'm just wondering...what i should do for signing up for classes for THIS upcoming fall as a second year. i currently have plans to get a chem class, another english class - but i dunno what to do with the other two...slots. i was thinking of trying to squeeze myself some foreign language, but i sorta want to avoid it if i don't need it for the major (though, i probably should do it since i'll have to take such classes at the UC level). so i guess my question is this: anyone else had a similar issue as me? with almost all pre-reqs done and had empty slots for classes to fill? and if so - what do they suggest to do?
