I would like to be a freelance writer or copywriter in the near-future. As for long-term perhaps write my own non-fiction novel or co-run a non-profit.

I was previously an English major and kept being told that I should switch to Comm because of all of my Panhellenic participation, leadership roles, theater activities and speech giving abilities. So I am now considering it and have sit in on a few courses. Though I enjoy them and how they challenge our critical thinking skills, then our ability to execute through group projects, I feel there is not enough writing.

So my question is, should I major in English with an emphasis on Creative Writing to further enhance my analytical and written skills? I will be choosing to pair this with a minor in advertisement to give me hands on experiences with each class providing projects. Also, it will help enhance the media/tech side of things. Or do I major in Communications? And if so, with or without the advertisement minor.
