So I don’t have to take the English one because I got 680+ on my writing section of SAT but I believe I have to take the math one. but I’m planning to go to Europe during summer so what if I miss the test? :c
and is the chemistry/ language one optional? Should I take them?
The math department already has the testing dates available so you can see if there will be a conflict. http://testing.ucsd.edu/dates.shtml
If you can’t make any of those dates, you can contact them at mathtesting@ucsd.edu to see what you should do.
The chemistry exam is optional. You can take it as a guide or you can not take it at all. You don’t have to follow what the placement test tells you to do, but it can help you get an idea of what chemistry course you are best prepared for. http://chemistry.ucsd.edu/undergraduate/academic-information/FAQs/faq-freshmen.html
I think the language exam is only required if you want to place into a higher level, rather than starting at the beginning (or whatever level you have credit for). I’m not sure though. http://ling.ucsd.edu/language/placement-test.html
