I plan on majoring in environmental engineering and it seems that most jobs with this major are dealing with waste disposal or sewage plants, but I am curious as to whether any (subjectively) more exciting careers were possible. I’d like to work on site remediation or clean water projects abroad, or even with National Parks/Forests (or any sector that has plenty of outdoor work and trekking).
Are you already graduated from high school? Or just starting your college research? Programs can vary from school to school.
